Yesterday I went to the grocery store to grab a few things for some Sugar Cookie bars I was planning on taking to Jon and his crew yesterday. After work I headed right there- checked my recipe and got everything I needed {so I thought}. Got home to realize I only had ONE stick of butter left and I needed 2. I also realized I didn't get the half and half I needed for the frosting. So once the dough was cooked, I took it out to cool and ran to the store. I go get my half and half and check out- I get home only to realize that during my 1st trip to the grocery store I had gotten $10 cash back and I didn't have it. Yes, I left it in the automatic dispenser. Like Jon said, clearly someone needed it more than I did. You're welcome to whomever got my $10!
So I go upstairs to start making my frosting only to realize I DIDN'T GET MORE BUTTER! You've got to be kidding me. By this point, I was just annoyed.
Seriously. I thought I had lost my mind. I made 3 grocery store trips within an hour of each other and forgot to take my $10. UGH!
The good news: the Sugar Cookie Bars were a hit!
