Cloud 9

Cloud 9- that's what Jon and I have been on the past  couple weeks. We found out on August 24th that  we are adding 10 toes and 10 fingers to our family. We made it "FB official" just last week after we visited the Dr. for the first time after we got to see Baby J- the heartbeat was strong and Dr. said everything was growing perfectly. Here's how it went down:

Friday morning we woke up and I was 4 days late, so we thought what the heck- I'll pee on a stick- so I did. I closed the door, did my thing, and not 1 min later I yell "BABE" and Jon goes "NO WAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO TAKE AT LEAST 3 MIN!!" I died laughing. We were both in shock that there was a little + sign on the stick!! We hugged, screamed, and jumped up and down. We then had to go on with our days like nothing had happened-- this was super hard- considering I had lunch and dinner w/ my mom/family. UGH! So hard to not spill the beans! I may or may not have taken a 2nd test that night just to make sure lol.

We were leaving for our Tennessee trip on Sunday so we had to tell our parents on Saturday because we didn't want them knowing before our friends. We wish now that we would have recorded our mom's responses. It was priceless- beyond priceless how my mom jumped up and down, screamed, and yelled out random things. Brought joy to my heart. Jon's mom goes "oh my gosh they're going to be parents" with lots of hugs and happiness. They were all so excited for us.

We told all our Friends on the trip- Baby J wrote them all letters telling them the news! So any pictures you may have seen of me with a drink in my hand, was 100% staged. :)

So thats our BIG NEWS! We're 10 weeks along with the official due date of April 27th! We're floating on Cloud 9. We are beyond excited for this journey! I'll be tracking our pregnancy via blog.
