Weight: 23lbs {according to home scale}
11 down...1 to go. That went way to quick. It was been a fun, crazy, quick, 'almost' year. I can't wait to keep watching you develop and learn. It's been so much fun thus far.
This blog will probably be short, as not much as changed between 10 and 11 months.
The biggest development is that your imagination has really started taking off. I can see your brain turning while pushing cars, opening doors and inputting toys, and much much more.
On a side note, you are A HUGE HAM!!!! Out in public, in a room full of people, anywhere you're getting attention you are put on quite the show. It's adorable, but I also know we are in for a long ride with you!
Food:
Your eating schedule is the same as month 10.
Some of your favorites this month: any fruit. blueberries, oranges, strawberries, grapes and bananas. pancakes and Kellogg's cinnamon waffles. Yogurt. Chicken {with season/flavor}. Anything carb related {must get that from your momma}. Gold fish and animal crackers.
We aren't that good at getting veggies in there - but thats why we still do some veggie squeeze packets.
You are a great little eater.
Clothes and Diapers
Diapers: 4s
Clothes: 9 and 12 month - we are ready for summer for shorts and t shirts.. or better yet, naked baby!! :)
You don't like getting your diaper changed, only because you have to lay still for less than a minute and you think thats the worse thing in the world. You are so on the go you can't stand to not do something so I just give you a book or a toy when we change you and you will sit still. I try to tell you that if you were still form the start it would take less time. You don't listen! :)
Sleep
Sleep is the same as last month. 2 naps: one morning, one afternoon. Bedtime between 7-8 and sleep all night {which is 12hours from the hour you went to bed!}
Teeth
Still sitting at 8. You also like to bite when you're tired. I really hope that is something you grow out of. I never want to get the report that MY kid bit someone!
Words
You say:
Dada
Momma
Look {with pointing}
We have heard:
Ball
Truck
We are working on signing the follow: thank you, please, and drink
Other:
You're standing on your own {more and more every day}
You can play "ball" by attempting to throw the ball back at us
If we say "where is the ball, tractor, truck or fire truck" you will point at them
You are into putting toys into things, through things, etc. You have stacking cups that you like to put into each other. You will put toys into your truck cab and shut the door, etc.
You like to brush your teeth
You are chatty, chatty, chatty!
You like to sit on the couch/crawl over the arm rest
You are forward facing in your carseat and you LOVE it.
You like to chew on keys
You still point at everything
You push toys all over the house {your walking toys and trucks, cars, and tractors}
Bath time or shower time is your favorite
Outside is one of your favorite places
You are a dada's little boy
You share really well. If you have something and we say "can mommy have that, or give daddy a bite" he'll give it to you.
No desire in the TV, still.
You do "tricks"- if we ask if you've had a hard day you'll put your hands on your head and bring them down over your eyes. If we say "cooper, wink" you squint your eyes and scrunch up your nose. Both adorable.
With that, you like to attempt to repeat things we do- or if we laugh at something you do, you keep doing it.
You LOVE writing pens. You chew on them and also pretend like your writing
You do a lot with your left hand
You still love books but don't like to sit and listen
You've been having a hard time leaving mom and dad on sunday mornings at church. You're still kinda in your "stranger danger" stage
Still haven't been sick
I think we have to tell you "no" more than anything else. You are INTO everything and my mom says you act just like me when I was little. She says "start reading the books now" :)
When your crawling you'll just lay flat on your stomach and "swing" your legs.. it's adorable, kind of like "whoosh, that was tired"
You are really good at waving hello and good bye
You let us know what you want by pointing at things
You "snap your tongue" -- i really have no idea what it's called- but its when you put your tongue on the top of your mouth and pull it off and it makes the snapping nose
You are showing more interest in walking, but you still know you can get faster crawling- this momma is okay with that!
