Weight: 22lbs {75%}
Height: 28 3/4 in {75%}
Your dad was glad to see you're growing in height a little bit! You went from 50% to 75% in height! Maybe you're not all Boan after all!
10 down, 2 to go! Where did the time go? I am so excited for your first birthday, it's already in the works and thanks to my good friend Nellie over at Events by Nellie we're going to have the cutest invites, banners, and signs for his party!
Your personality is still shinning bright. You 100% know what you want, and if Cooper wants it, he tends to get it {if it's baby approved by mom and dad}. You point to let us know where you want to go or what you want to do. You are starting to play with more "imagination" I feel like. You push cars and trucks {and we swear you make a car nose}. You love books, however you don't like reading them, you like turning the pages and pulling them off the shelf.
You STILL have not gotten sick! Praise God! Proves that breastfed babies aren't the only ones who don't get sick :)
You are so fun and you bring so much joy and laughter to everyone around you. Your facial expressions are to die for and you sure know how to bust a move! Again, that personality of yours shines bright! :)
Food
Whoosh, you.are.a.eater! You're still at 2/3 bottles a day, but you also eat 3 meals a day as well- with a couple snacks here and there.
Depending on what time you wake up, your day looks like this.
wake up at 6: bottle, breakfast at 8ish when you wake again, lunch, bottle with mid afternoon nap, dinner, and bottle at bed.
wake up at 7: breakfast, bottle at midmorning nap, lunch, most time bottle with mid afternoon nap {unless fall asleep in the car} dinner, and bottle at bed.
Breakfast: Banana Cinnamon Pancakes are your favorite. Throw some blueberries on your tray and it trumps anything and everything {this is at any meal or snack time, you LOVE blueberries}. You'll eat normal pancakes with bananas on the side. You also LOVE scrambled eggs!
Lunch: Turkey meat, chicken, or grilled cheese are some of your favorites.
Dinner: Most the time what we eat- but any of the above. You like green beans, mashed potatoes {about half the time}, cooked carrots.
We really haven't found anything you DON'T like! This makes life easy for us!
You still eat your squeeze packets some, but not near as much. Those are usually used if we are out and about and you need something ASAP!
You've mastered the sippy cup and have moved on to your own camelbak. I hope when it's time to drink milk out of sippy's you'll use a sippy cup! :)
Clothes and Diapers
Not much has changed. You'll still in 9 month clothes with a couples 12m sweatshirts. They're big on you but they're too cute to not put you in! :) I did look for 12 month PJ's in the fleece but cannot find them anywhere!
You're still in 4 diapers and can see you being in them for a while, as you have room to grow! Now that you're so active, you aren't packing on the pounds as fast as you were!
You HATE having to lay down to put clothes on your change your diaper. You move so much that it takes LONGER than if you were to just lay there. Most the time we end up putting your clothes on sitting vs laying. Your diapers are usually not on straight, but hey, you never leak out so it must be working for you!
You still help us put clothes on but pushing your arms through. :)
Sleep
I think we're on a pretty good sleep schedule. Two naps a day. 1 morning. 1 afternoon. Your sleep looks like this.
Wake at 7: Nap at 9 and between 2-3. Both 1 hour naps {like on.the.dot.} bed at 6:30-7:30. Depends on your afternoon nap.
Some days, you'll wake up at 6 {eat and go back to bed until 8} then you nap later and either skip afternoon nap {which is never fun} or go to bed early.
Is it bad I'm ready for you to give up your morning nap. I say that now and will probably hate it when you do. I feel like I can't get anything done without being interrupted by a nap. It will be nice when that morning nap is done and we can get errands done or attend play groups and then come home and take a long afternoon nap!!
You sleep through the night 99% of the nights. Almost once a night, you sit up, cry, and fall right back down to sleep. Weird. There are a few nights here and there you get up to eat.
Teeth
Still sitting at 8. Some days you chew on anything you can find with drool pouring out, I thought your fangs were coming in but the doctor said you'll get your molars before them- oh joy!
Words
We know we hear things, but we swear you're talking to us!
You for sure say:
Dada 95% of the time.
Mom
We hear:
Yes
All done
Ball {just a few times}
and sometimes you just ramble and we laugh and say "are you cussing again" :)
If I say "are you all done" you'll sign "all done" to me. Sometimes you'll sign more, most of the time, you just point at what you want more of.
Other
We can say where is your 1. ball 2. blanket 3. the fire and you'll point to all three or go get them.
You'll kiss anything expect people. Books, logos, toys, other babies {Jacob}, but WILL NOT give us kisses.
Love to open and close things
Hate getting into your carseat
Love keys
Always wants the remote controls
Can walk around the couch and around the the walker
Stand for a few seconds without holding on {rarely}
More interest in walking while we hold your hands
You want to feed yourself- you're not digging anything that comes from a spoon.
You LOVE blueberries- you would eat them all day long if we'd let you.
You love blankets- you lay your head and burry up for a second and then pop back up. We so badly wish you'd cuddle :)
You are starting to mimic what we do {fake laugh and cough}
You really like puzzle pieces and block sets.
You went through a stranger danger stage. Therefore, I got called out of church 2 weeks in a row because you just screamed!
You LOVE your dad and papas.. if they're in the room- no one else gets your attention.
You love to be chased, you laugh while you crawl super fast.
You DANCE! If we sing "I feel good" to you, you do what looks like the stanky leg. SO funny. You also will move your body to any beat/song.
You still don't watch TV. Something may catch your eye here and there, but you don't sit and watch it when it's on.
You like books but don't let me read them.
You like "horse." we can say, what to ride the horse, and you'll rock back and forth.
You don't like being in strollers, high chairs, etc. you want down and want to look at everything. You point at things you want to see.
You're starting to attempt to climb on things. So far you've master the fireplace. Everything else is still a little high for you.
You got your first black eye. We were getting our taxes down and you rocked a chair on top of you. First of many :)
You threw up all over your cousin Jacks new KU Wiggins Jersey- confirmation you don't want to be a jayhawk :)
You still make awesome faces
You can pretty much lay flat and use your stomach muscles to sit {cory will be proud of this one}
You love fires {papa has been making fires @ their house, you'll sit and watch them}
You're starting to "play games".. you tilt your head over to the side until we do it then you pop back up and keep doing it.. laugh, and do it again.. things like that.. :)
You hate "no" still- if I have to say it "seriously" you freak out and cry- sensitive much? :)
First Valentines day. You made a valentines out of your feet prints for dad and both sets of grandparents :)
You clap, wave, and point.
I'm not getting any better at writing things down- so I hope this is all. I think I've hit all the major things at least.
Will add monthly pictures soon! :)
