34 Weeks

How far along? 34 weeks 

Baby J is as big as: Large Cantaloupe {19in, 5.5lbs}

Total weight gain: 30lbs - I had a slight rapid weight gain in the past 2.5 weeks haha.. it made me super depressed. 6 pounds in 2.5 weeks doesn't seem right. Dr. said most of the time rapid weight gain like that is water -- sure hope so! UGH!  

Maternity clothes? Mix Matching. 

Stretch marks? None! 

Sleep: Eh, it's rocky. For the past week I've been sleeping in a recliner in our room. It's actually the one from Babies room so I told Jon it's just God preparing me for the nights I'll be spending in the chair. I sleep REALLY good in the recliner so I'm sleeping there until needed. I go to the chiropractor on Saturday so maybe that will help me be able to sleep back in bed. 

Best moment this week: Celebrating my Grandma Boan's birthday with my entire family. Nothing better than spending time with your extended family on a Wednesday night in celebration of the one who made it all happen.. as my cousin Lindsey said "all because two people fell in love" 

Miss Anything?  Walking normal. :)  

Movement: all.the.time. Lately he's been posting up in my ribs.. little nugget and I are already having talks about how that is not ok! Jon even tried to nicely talk and push him out the other night- it was actually rather cute. 

Food cravings: I've been eating those all natural fruit popsicle {Grape and Strawberry}. I like the coldness- not sure what that's all about! 

Anything making you queasy or sick: nothing this week..

Gender: little man! 

Labor Signs: nope. even got checked today. Cervix is still closed and baby is still cooking. Head is right on top though which is good! :) almost there! 

Symptoms: I am having braxton hicks. My stomach gets super hard at times but with no pain! Feels rather weird. Peeing. and walking weird. that's about it this week.

Belly Button in or out? Flat today- but yesterday I could totally see the top peaking out of my shirt. It probably won't be long before it pops out! 

Wedding rings on or off? On -- hoping for a few more weeks with them. They come off fine, but I do notice more and more swelling throughout the weeks. 

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy for sure. Too much to be excited about not to be overwhelmed with happiness. 

Looking forward to: Seeing our maternity pictures. I was pretty anti-maternity pictures just because I think they're awkward. Jon and I aren't really the "pose and take pictures" type of couple. I went to google maternity pictures and they were all half naked and I don't understand that... what in the world do people do with those later- clearly they don't hang them up on the wall! UGH! Anyways- we actually had a good time taking them, fully clothed, in downtown Olathe. The couple that Shana at W the Studio showed me via the back of her camera I was rather pleased with- therefore, can't wait to see the rest! :) 

Daddy Moment: Jon was a trooper during pictures. He HATES taking pictures- with a passion- so I told him if he gave me an hour of smiles I would let him pick the place to eat dinner. As we were walking around downtown Olathe he came across this restaurant called The Spanglish Spoon {Nacole, is this even politically correct?? lol} The window said "Costa Rican and America food"... he was set on eating there for dinner. I told him I wasn't going to a place that had NO ONE in it at dinner time... I finally gave in and I must admit, it was pretty good. I wouldn't rush back there, but it wasn't terrible!  

My mom made the crib skirt and I'm totally obsessed with it. 

I will post a full blog about his room once he's here. The main piece above his crib is his name and the room looks rather boring without it! :) Trust me though, it's awesome!!! :
