I love you, too: you'll find you why it's called that in a little bit, until then. ....
I really wish I had something really exciting to talk about. I don't. I just feel like it's that time to blog again. I'll update you what's been going on the past couple weeks.

Since summer decided to show up early this year { which is great }, Jon has been out busy mowing grass like crazy. The company had slight issues with the visa program they are using so their crew's haven't made it to Kansas yet. So the Johnson boys have been hard at work. If you get your grass mowed by a professional company {any professional company} hold the phone calls to complain, they know your grass needs mowed! :)
I've gotten to enjoy some of my spare time working on some custom orders for some wood blocks. I'm dong a set for a teacher gift and one for a newborn baby! They are super cute so far, I'll post pictures when they are all done. Around Christmas time I invested in a Cricut Create Machine and it's made "crafting" so much more fun easier! This past weekend it was so nice I enjoyed working on these projects out on the deck. When Jon is on duty, I tend to craft as my "therapy" time. It's something I'm really enjoying and contemplating on maybe one day starting an etsy shop. Ever since I started crafting, I've had a new appreciation for "hand made" items, I turn to Etsy a lot!
Jon and I have been spending a lot of our time with my family. Grandma got moved to a nursing home where she is now on hospice. We got to celebrate her birthday with her, which was great. She got an overwhelming about of cards, flowers, and love on her special day. We thank you for sending love to her. She enjoys it. The past week she has got a lot worse. Hospice informed us Sunday that it probably wouldn't be long. Our prayer for her is that God takes her home- no more pain or suffering. I was doing fairly well with this situation until last night. We went up after dinner and she was already asleep {which she does 95% of the day now)- I wasn't going to wake her but I felt the overwhelming need to just give her a kiss, that I did. I kissed her forehead and told her I loved her. She slightly opened her eyes and said "I love you, too." Her eyes were very glassy and her words here vary faint, I think the reality of "she probably doesn't have much time left" hit me right in the face. I walked out of the nursing home with tears, thankfully Jon was by my side for comfort. It's so hard to see her talking then two days later, not. If you have been praying for Grandma, please continue to do so- as for our family. We appreciate all the kind words and gestures shown towards our family during this.
On more of a happy note, Jon and I have planned a little weekend get away to Omaha in May. I've always hinted about going to the Zoo there {yes, I have never been!} and the other day he told me "I have a surprise for you..." well, those of you who know Jon, he's not very good at surprises! ha. He was looking at his e-mail one night and I was sitting right there and one of the subjects was "Omaha." Cat was out of the bag then! We both are looking forward to a weekend together away from work and stress- plus I am SO excited for the Zoo! I've heard such great things about it!
My sister in law Cheri makes some wonderful art pieces. I've a very loyal buyer! haha! She's having a March Madness Sale in her Etsy Shop. The sale is running until April 2nd! Hope on over and check out her work here. She does custom pieces too! Really, she's awesome!
Well, if you are still reading this you are either a family member or a very loyal reader {thank you!}. My book has come to an end. I hope everyone else is enjoying this beautiful weather! :)
Love,
LJ
{I am second, are you?}
