{Family Love}

I know I've posted about family before. However, right now, I couldn't be more blessed and honored to be a party of such an amazing family. In fact, TWO amazing families.

If you're reading this- you may or may not know that my Grandma Boan is in the hospital. She was diagnosed on 2.20.12 with a brain mass. She had a biopsy today and we will know further information on Monday. She's currently in ICU and doctors are allowing family only to visit.

Grandma Boan is the soul of the Boan family, she raised and continues to raise 4 amazing boys who have started 4 amazing families. It's evident that "we are family." This past week, we've shown more than ever our love for Grandma and for the the entire family.

With most everyone within 30 minutes of Olathe Medical Center, Grandma Boan has had family {and visitors } by her side all day and night. Her boys are with her as they can be and take turns staying the night {as she would say " I didn't get any sleep because the boys snore.." } Grandma Boan has taught us what love is- and I can proudly stand here  write that the Boan family is FULL of amazing love, joy, and strength. I also know that the Boan family all have a soul to help each other. Example: I walked in on Nacole reading Grandma's bible to her. I heard Lindsey soaked grandma's feet and rubbed them for her. Jerry prayed with Grandpa over a time of need and comfort. Debbie R has has done laundry for grandpa. Caleb spent an entire day with Grandpa so he didn't have to be alone. Phil went to get her a special lotion for her skin. Floyd and Bruce have stayed the night with Grandma.... the list continues to go on and on. The best part is, all these acts of kindness are from the heart.

Where does this love come from?

1 John 4:19: We love because HE first loved us.

1 Corinthians 13:13: So now faith,hope and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love

1 Corinthians 13:7: Love bears all things, hopes all things, endures all thigns.

Romans 13:8: Owe no one anything, expect to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.

Galatians 5:13: For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love, serve one another.

Ephesians 4:2: With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.

1 John 4:7: beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

Answer: from GOD!

We are family. We are love. We are children of God. We believe.

If you would like to follow Grandma's journey, Lindsey has started a CaringBridge site for her. You can follow here: Grandma's Story

Oh behalf of the entire Boan family, we thank you for your continued love, support, and prayer.
